Montpellier, also known as Montpellier Herault Rugby, was founded in 1986 and is based in the south of France. The club was promoted to Top 14 in 2003, and in 2007, they had their first player, Fulgence Ouedraogo, make it to the French national team. Montpellier was also granted a spot in the Heineken Cup in 2011.
