Gilbert MacDowell Precision Kicking Ball Size 5

Robin MacDowell, former international player for Rugby Canada and 7’s coach, has partnered with Gilbert to develop a rugby ball that will enhance the kicking game for players.

With a Truflight valve, a unique valve shape, and placement that redistributes weight along the seams of the ball to improve rotational stability and enhance accuracy in kicking. A 3-layer poly-cotton and cotton laminate panel means the ball will weigh slightly more. This design performs better on longer kicks and passes and generally maintains its shape better than a 2-layer construction.

The design includes a target for the ideal spot to strike and inscriptions reflecting MacDowell’s vision, reminding players to smile, dream, believe, and succeed. It also features tips on how to hit your target, such as 'Target, Trajectory, Breathe, Head Down, Ideal Spot'.

This ball is part of MacDowell’s goal to grow the sport of rugby. He aims to develop untapped talent and inspire young players to 'Dream. Believe. Succeed.' His vision is to develop athletes both on and off the field, giving them the tools to support their academic, athletic, and life goals.

Ball Care:

• Inflate to 9.5 psi with a hand pump
